Join do Cookie Policy
Last updated: 1 May 2026 Effective date: 1 May 2026
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They allow websites to recognise you, remember your language preference and maintain your session.
2. Cookies Used on the Join do Website
The Join do website (joindo.app) uses only essential cookies. There are currently no analytics, marketing or third-party tracking cookies.
2.1 Essential cookies (no consent required)
These cookies are necessary for basic website functionality.
| Cookie | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
NEXT_LOCALE | Remembers your preferred language | 1 year |
theme | Light / dark theme preference | 1 year |
nextjs-session | Session management (admin area only) | Session |
2.2 Analytics cookies
Not currently in use. If we add an analytics tool (such as PostHog, Plausible or Google Analytics) in the future, we will obtain explicit consent from EEA visitors via a GDPR-compliant cookie banner and update this Policy.
2.3 Marketing cookies
Not currently in use. No retargeting or advertising-tracking cookies are placed.
3. Third-Party Services
3.1 Google Search Console
To measure our visibility in Google search results we use Google Search Console, which is verified through a single HTML meta tag. No cookies are placed and no visitor data is collected by this verification.
3.2 Google Fonts
The Poppins font family is used for typography. With Next.js next/font, fonts are self-hosted at build time; no runtime requests are made to Google's CDN, so your IP address is not transmitted to Google.
4. Are There Cookies in the Mobile App?
No. The Join do mobile app does not use browser cookies. The app stores session information in secure local storage (MMKV / Keychain / Keystore).
5. How to Manage Cookies
You can manage and delete cookies through your browser settings:
- Google Chrome: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647
- Mozilla Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/kb/cookies-information-websites-store-on-your-computer
- Safari: https://support.apple.com/guide/safari/manage-cookies-sfri11471
- Microsoft Edge: https://support.microsoft.com/microsoft-edge/delete-cookies-in-microsoft-edge
If you disable essential cookies, basic features such as language and theme preference may not work properly.
6. EEA Visitors (GDPR / ePrivacy)
Under GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive, prior explicit consent is required for cookies that are not essential. Because Join do uses only essential cookies at this time, no prior consent is required. If this changes, a cookie banner will be activated.
7. Updates to This Policy
When we update this Cookie Policy, the latest version will be published on this page. For material changes, an additional notice may be posted on the website.
