Join do Terms of Service

1. Parties

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are entered into electronically between:

and the user ("User", "Member", "you") who uses or registers for the Join do mobile application (the "App") or the website at joindo.app (the "Website").

The Company and the User are referred to collectively as the "Parties".

2. Subject and Scope

These Terms govern your use of Join do's social sports platform services (the "Service").

Join do Services:

Around (Partner): discover nearby athletes in a list or on a map covering a radius of about 40 km; look at another area with "Change Location"
Join / Activity: create, join and manage one-off or recurring (daily, weekly or custom-interval) sports events
Groups: create and join sports groups; group rooms, group chat, polls, invitations and join requests
Highlight (DoStatus): text or photo sport status posts; they leave discovery feeds 24 hours after publication but remain in the owner's archive; other users can view them and react (like or emoji)
Match (Play): matching with a nearby partner based on sport, level and time preferences. When a match is found, both sides are asked to accept (48 hours); if you both accept, you become friends and a one-to-one chat opens. A search lasts up to 1 week; pending and unsuccessful matches appear in "Match history"
For You: up to 5 profiles suggested at regular intervals (currently every 3 days) that are nearby (within about 40 km) and share at least one sport with you
Profile: photos, sports and levels, availability, height and weight; your shared sports history with friends (how long you have been friends, events attended together and common sports)
Profile visitors: see who viewed your profile (see the Privacy Policy for details)
Chat: one-to-one messaging, event and group chat; photos from your camera or gallery, voice messages, GIFs and stickers (GIPHY), polls, message reactions and replies, sharing places, groups and events. Photos and voice messages shared in chats are deleted automatically after 3 days
Premium Subscription: paid subscription (see the Subscription Terms)

How events and groups work:

If an event created as "date to be decided" is not given a date within 14 days, it is cancelled automatically; the organiser and participants are notified.
For recurring events, the next date is created automatically once the previous date has passed (at most 30 days ahead).
A newly created group stays a draft until at least 1 member besides its founder has joined, and is not shown in discovery lists until then.

3. Acceptance and Formation

By tapping "Continue" during sign-up or by using the Service in any other manner, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

4. Age Requirement (18+)

Join do is intended solely for adults aged 18 or older. It is your responsibility to declare your date of birth accurately during registration. You are solely responsible for any legal, administrative or criminal consequences of false age declarations.

If we identify an account belonging to a person under 18:

The account will be suspended immediately;
Personal data will be deleted;
Authorities may be notified where required.

5. Registration and Account

5.1 Registration is available only via Apple Sign In or Google Sign In. Basic profile data (such as username and email) is required.

5.2 One person may hold only one account. You may not share, transfer or sell your account.

5.3 You are responsible for the security of your account (password, biometrics, authentication provider). Notify support@joindo.app immediately of any suspected unauthorised access.

5.4 You undertake that all data you provide is accurate, current and complete. You must update your profile if your details change.

5.5 When creating your profile, you must provide your date of birth, gender, at least one profile photo, height and weight. Existing accounts without height and weight must complete them before continuing to use the Service. You can choose in Account Settings whether your height and weight are shown on your profile (see Section 2.5 of the Privacy Policy).

5.6 For the security of the Service, the integrity of the app and your device is verified (Firebase App Check: Google Play Integrity on Android, Apple App Attest / DeviceCheck on iOS). On devices without Google Play services or that fail this check (e.g. rooted, jailbroken or modified devices), sign-in and some features may not work.

6. Prohibited Conduct

The following are prohibited and may result in account suspension or permanent termination:

Violence, threats, harassment or stalking;
Sexual harassment or sexually explicit content;
Communication with minors under 18;
Any conduct suggestive of child abuse (immediate ban + legal notification);
Hate speech, racism or discrimination of any kind (religion, language, race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, height, weight and other physical characteristics, etc.);
Recording or sharing another person's voice or image without their permission;
Impersonation or fake profiles;
Spam, automated software / bots, low-quality repetitive posting;
Copyright or trademark infringement;
GPS spoofing or use of fake-location software;
Use of VPNs or other tools to misrepresent your location for an advantage;
Automated check-in or fake event participation;
Any technical attempt to manipulate, scrape, reverse-engineer or compromise Join do systems;
Fraud, deception for material gain, undisclosed advertising;
Any unlawful content or activity.

7. User-Generated Content (UGC) and Licence

7.1 Ownership: Content you upload to the Platform (profile pictures, gallery, status posts, messages, voice messages, your own stickers, polls, activity descriptions) remains your property.

7.2 Licence: You grant Join do a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use such content only for the purpose of operating the Service, including hosting, moderation, security review, backup and technical processing.

7.3 Marketing excluded: Join do will not use your content in advertisements, promotions or marketing materials without your explicit prior consent.

7.4 Warranty: You warrant that content you upload does not infringe third-party rights and complies with applicable law.

7.5 Third-party content: GIFs and ready-made stickers used in chats are provided by GIPHY and are subject to GIPHY's terms of use; Join do does not own this content and cannot be held responsible for it. These Terms and the Community Guidelines also apply to the GIFs and stickers you send.

8. Premium Subscription

8.1 Join do offers an optional Premium subscription. See the Subscription Terms for full detail.

8.2 Available plans: Monthly, 6-Monthly, Annual. Prices are set by Apple App Store and Google Play in your local currency; the final price is displayed on the purchase screen.

8.3 Auto-renewal: Your subscription will automatically renew at the same fee unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Renewal will be charged 24 hours before the end of the current period. To manage subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal, go to Account Settings after purchase.

8.4 Cancellation: Subscriptions can be cancelled only via App Store or Google Play. Join do has no ability to cancel on your behalf and does not process cancellations.

8.5 Refunds: Refunds are issued by Apple or Google under their own policies. Join do has no authority to issue refunds. In the Republic of Türkiye, the right of withdrawal in respect of digital content already supplied may be limited under the Distance Sales Regulation; the Apple/Google refund policies prevail.

8.6 Introductory Offer: New or returning users may be eligible for an introductory offer of 50% off the first period, applied through Apple's or Google's introductory offer mechanism. The introductory price applies once per account.

8.7 Behaviour-Based Campaign Discount: After a user has seen the premium prompt several times, an automatic time-limited 50% campaign offer may activate. A countdown timer is displayed on the paywall; standard pricing applies after expiry.

8.8 Family Sharing is not supported.

8.9 Premium features (see the Subscription Terms for the full table):

See everyone who visited your profile
High daily limit for friend requests
High daily limit for Match (Play)
Advanced Partner filters (gender, age, level, height and weight range)
More than one active (upcoming) event at a time
No location-change limits
High daily limit for event and group invitations

9. Advertising and Virtual Currency

In this version, Join do does not display advertisements and does not use virtual currency. If this changes, the Terms will be updated and you will be notified.

10. Location-Based Services

10.1 The core Join do features (Around, Join, Groups, Match, For You) require location data. If you do not grant location permission, these features will be unavailable.

10.2 Other users do not see your real location on the map; your marker is shown displaced within an approximately 1 km radius. The list and profiles show your approximate distance (km) and city.

10.3 To check in to an event, you must be within 100 metres of the event coordinate. This check is only performed at the moment of check-in.

10.4 Check-in attempts using GPS spoofing are a violation of these Terms and will result in account suspension.

11. Physical Meetups — Disclaimer

11.1 Join do is only a digital connection platform. Join do:

Does not organise, supervise or vouch for events;
Does not independently verify user identity;
Is not present at events and does not provide oversight;
Does not provide insurance.

11.2 All risks arising from physical meetups and sporting activities — including but not limited to injury, accident, property loss, interpersonal disputes, theft or criminal acts — are borne solely by the users.

11.3 Join do recommends the following safety practices:

Meet in public, well-populated and well-lit places (sports facilities, parks, cafés);
Inform a trusted person of your meeting plan in advance;
Confirm location and time clearly beforehand;
Do not hesitate to cancel if you have any concerns;
Keep emergency contact numbers accessible (Türkiye: 112 medical, 155 police; in Europe: 112).

11.4 Join do shall not be liable for any compensation or claim arising from this clause.

12. Intellectual Property

All software, design, trademarks, logos, content and database rights related to the Platform are owned by Join do or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, create derivative works or commercially exploit them without Join do's prior written consent.

13. Third-Party Services

The Platform uses third-party providers including Apple, Google (Firebase, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Google Maps), OneSignal (only for older app versions), Uploadcare, Amazon Web Services, RevenueCat, GIPHY, Expo and Strato. Use of these services is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

14. Apple App Store EULA — Reference

When using the iOS app, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Apple EULA") also applies (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/). In case of conflict, the stricter provisions of these Terms prevail. Apple is not responsible for the performance of these Terms; however, Apple is a third-party beneficiary of the Apple EULA.

15. Community Guidelines and Enforcement

15.1 In addition to these Terms, the Community Guidelines govern your use of the Service. Where there is a conflict, the Community Guidelines take precedence.

15.2 In case of breach, Join do may apply:

Warning (three-strike policy);
Content removal;
Temporary suspension (freeze);
Permanent ban;
Notification to legal authorities.

15.3 Severe breaches (e.g. child abuse, illegal content, fraud) result in an immediate permanent ban.

16. Account Termination

16.1 Termination by you: You may delete your account at any time via Profile → Settings → Account Settings → Freeze / Delete My Account. The flow includes a 7-day grace period followed by permanent deletion. Instead of deleting, you can freeze your account: a frozen account is hidden from other users until you sign in again; events you created are cancelled and you are removed from events you joined.

16.2 Termination by Join do: Join do reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account without prior notice or stated reason, whether for breach of these Terms or for commercial reasons.

16.3 Refund of paid fees: No fees will be refunded upon termination (refunds are handled by Apple/Google as set out in clause 8.5).

17. Limitation of Liability

17.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, Join do:

Does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure;
Is not responsible for the relationships or transactions formed between users via the Service;
Is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or punitive damages.

17.2 Join do's aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid to Join do for subscription fees in the 12 months preceding the breach.

17.3 This limitation does not apply to wilful misconduct, gross negligence or where it conflicts with mandatory law, in which case mandatory rules prevail.

18. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Join do and its employees and partners against all damages, losses, costs and reasonable legal fees arising from third-party claims caused by your breach of these Terms or the law.

19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

19.1 Governing law: The laws of the Republic of Türkiye.

19.2 Jurisdiction: Istanbul Anadolu Courts and Execution Offices.

19.3 Mandatory consumer rights preserved: The mandatory consumer protection rules of the country in which the User resides shall remain reserved and apply where stronger than these Terms. EU residents retain the right to bring proceedings before the consumer courts of their country of residence.

20. Changes to the Terms

20.1 Join do may unilaterally amend these Terms. For material changes, you will be informed via:

In-app notification, or
Email to your registered address.

20.2 Continued use of the Service after such notice constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms. If you do not accept, you must delete your account.

21. Miscellaneous

21.1 If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force.

21.2 Failure to enforce a right does not constitute waiver.

21.3 In case of inconsistency between the Turkish and English versions of these Terms, the Turkish version prevails.

21.4 You may not assign your rights to third parties without Join do's consent. Join do may assign its rights and obligations.
