Welcome

Join do is built to help you connect with athletes near you, organise events and grow a healthy community. Keeping our community safe, respectful and inclusive is a shared responsibility. This document explains the behaviour we expect and the conduct that is forbidden.

3. Physical Meetup Safety

Join do enables connections for physical events — your safety during meetups is your responsibility. Please follow these rules:

Do:

  • Meet in public, busy and well-lit places (sports facility, parks, cafés)
  • Inform a trusted person of your plan in advance for first meetings
  • Confirm location and time clearly beforehand
  • Cancel without hesitation if you have any concerns
  • Keep emergency numbers accessible (Türkiye: 112 medical, 155 police; EU: 112)

Don't:

  • Go to private homes or remote places with someone you have just met
  • Share private addresses, banking data or passwords
  • Transfer money, gifts or valuables
  • Be impaired (alcohol/substances) in unfamiliar settings

In an emergency, call local authorities first and then notify support@joindo.app.

4. Your Responsibilities

You are fully responsible for your content and interactions. Make sure:

  • All images, text and events you share belong to you or that you have permission from rights holders
  • Content does not harm other users or violate the law
  • You behave with sportsmanship at offline meetups
  • If you are organising an event, you take basic care to provide for participant safety

5. Reporting

When you see content or behaviour that violates these rules, let us know. Reports help us keep the community safer.

5.1 How to report

  1. Open the user's profile and tap the three-dot icon at the top right
  2. Select Report
  3. Choose a reason

  2. Tap the three-dot icon at the top right and select Report and Block
  3. Choose a reason and describe the chat and message in your explanation
  4. If needed, you can also email support@joindo.app with a screenshot

  2. Select Report Event

  1. On the group page, tap the three-dot icon
  2. Select Report
  3. Choose a reason

When you report a profile, the user is blocked at the same time; you can unblock them at any time in Account Settings → Blocked Users.

5.2 Reporting via email

You can also email support@joindo.app directly; for severe cases (violent threats, suspected child abuse) email is preferred.

6. Action Policy

6.1 Join do reviews reports within 24 hours. Severe safety cases (harassment, threats, child safety) are prioritised.

6.2 Possible actions for confirmed breaches:

SeverityAction
First minor breachWarning + reminder of guidelines
Second breachFinal warning + content removal
Third breachPermanent account ban
Severe case (child safety, violence, fraud)Immediate permanent ban + legal notification

6.3 You may appeal a decision by contacting support@joindo.app. Appeals are reviewed within a reasonable time.

7. Event and Group Chats

In event chats the event organiser, and in groups the group owner and admins, have authority to remove people who violate these guidelines from the chat or group. Group owners and admins also manage rooms, pinned messages and join requests. These powers must not be abused; serious cases are escalated to Join do through reporting.

You can delete your own messages at any time; event organisers and group admins can also delete messages in the chats they manage. A deleted message is replaced by a note showing who deleted it.

7.1 Highlight posts

All of these guidelines also apply to Highlight posts (text or photo). Do not share other people's photos without their permission, and do not use reactions (likes, emojis) to harass anyone.

7.2 Partner reviews

The partner review you give after an event, match or friendship must be honest. Fake, revenge or coordinated negative reviews are prohibited. Your review is not shown to the other person with your identity; reports of harassment or non-sport intent automatically become a report record and are reviewed.

8. Blocking

When you block a user:

  • They cannot send you messages
  • They cannot view your profile or discover you
  • They cannot join your events
  • One-to-one messages from them are not delivered after block

Block works both ways and can be lifted at any time.

9. Automated Content Filtering

  • Visual content: All uploaded photographs are processed through an AI-based NSFW (adult content) detection model; inappropriate images are not allowed and the account is reported.
  • Voice messages and GIFs: Voice messages are not scanned automatically; if reported, they may be reviewed by the moderation team. GIFs and stickers from GIPHY are limited to a PG-13 rating.
  • Text content: Messages, statuses and event descriptions with high-risk content (profanity, harassment, spam indicators) are flagged with a colour code for the Join do moderation team. Your content is not auto-removed or auto-hidden — only reviewed by a human moderator.

10. Emergencies

10.1 Suspected child abuse

If you observe anything that raises a child-safety concern, contact support@joindo.app immediately. Join do cooperates with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and competent law-enforcement authorities in Türkiye.

10.2 Self-harm / suicide

If you see content suggesting self-harm or suicide:

  • Türkiye: 182 (Ministry of Health Information Line), 112 medical emergency
  • EU and UK: 116 123 (Samaritans international)
  • United States: 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline)

Join do prioritises review of such content and provides referrals to professional help where appropriate.

10.3 Hate attack or violence

If you face an immediate threat, contact local law enforcement first and report to Join do afterwards.
